The Goal of the Deaf Ministry is to reach out to the approximately 10,000 deaf/hard of hearing people living in the Greater Columbus Area. With less than 5% already Christians, the opportunity for the ministry to reach the remaining 9,500 people for Christ making believers and followers helping them grow to be like Jesus is huge!
Eastpointe Deaf Ministry, partnering with the Deaf & Hard of Hearing Institute of Christian Education is reaching out with the Good News of Jesus through:
- Informing people about Deafness
- Teaching Sign Language
- Developing Interpreters
- Encouraging people (Deaf/Hearing) to train in our Bible Colleges for specialized ministries with the Deaf
- Establishing and encouraging Deaf ministries in our Churches of Christ/Christian Churches
- Serving the Deaf community
